Our mission has always been to support individuals who want a fresh beginning by removing tattoos that no longer align with who they are today, especially for those from disadvantaged backgrounds or with tattoos tied to a difficult past. Now, we’re making this program accessible in even more places across Australia.

Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Jess and Hayden from SW Tattoo Removal at our clinic here in South Australia. After a collaborative visit, Amanda, Jess and Hayden travelled to Melbourne, where they met up with Kelly from Swift Tattoo Removal and Georgia from White Rabbit Tattoo Removal. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, align our visions, and discuss how best to expand Fresh Start into these new states. This expansion will allow us to help even more people seeking a positive change and fresh outlook.

Why Fresh Start Program Matters
The Fresh Start program exists to help those in our community who face unique barriers due to tattoos that no longer reflect who they are or the direction they wish to take. Our goal is to remove tattoos that have become a painful reminder of the past, offering a path toward healing and new beginnings. Through the Fresh Start Program, we support:
Survivors of Family and Domestic Violence, Immigration Detention, or Human Trafficking: Many people are tattooed against their will under these circumstances. The Fresh Start program offers them the opportunity to reclaim their bodies, removing tattoos that may have been forced upon them.
Individuals Who Have Recently Completed a Jail Sentence: A fresh start after prison can be challenging, especially when tattoos act as constant reminders of the past. This program gives those who are committed to moving forward a chance to remove these reminders and reintegrate into society more comfortably.
People with Visible or Offensive Tattoos: Tattoos on visible areas like the face, neck, hands, and head can severely limit employment opportunities, especially if they contain offensive content. Fresh Start provides these individuals with a chance to improve their job prospects and stability.
Former Gang or Biker Club Members: For those looking to leave gang or club affiliations behind, tattoo removal can play an essential role in cutting ties with the past and moving toward a safer, more positive future.
People with Racist Tattoos: Some individuals want to remove tattoos that represent old beliefs or affiliations that no longer align with who they are. Fresh Start enables them to move forward by removing symbols tied to these beliefs.
Children and Teenagers Under 18 Tattooed Without Consent: We believe young people who were tattooed without permission deserve the chance to move on without being defined by a decision they did not make for themselves.
Cancer Survivors with Radiation Marks or Medical Tattoos: For those who have undergone cancer treatment or other medical procedures, Fresh Start offers removal of radiation tattoo marks, helping to ease reminders of a challenging medical journey.
Through this program, we’re giving individuals the opportunity to change their lives by starting fresh. However, we also know that providing this service to the right individuals is essential to keeping the program impactful and sustainable. For this reason, Fresh Start has an application process to ensure that those who qualify for our program are genuinely committed to creating positive change. This approach allows us to focus our efforts and resources on those who need it most.
